What do you look for in a food/recipe blog? What are the things you look for in a blog before you will visit regularly?
I know some of the things I look for are beautiful pictures, detailed/accurate recipes, and a friendly vibe to it.
Just curious what y'all are looking for! :)

I use Google Reader. I found your site from a link on another Feed I subscribe to. So I added this one to check it out. I put it in a temp folder where I put all new feeds. The ones I like get moved to the permanent folders.
Of the feeds I like best, the feeds I keep are the ones that have images in the feeds. It makes it so much easier when I want to go back and find something I remembered seeing. Also I hate clicking websites for every post. Thats what the reader is for.
I noticed you do not have images in the Google reader feeds. Since you asked I am telling you.

For me, I like information that is relevant to my interests. For example: food, organizational topics, local restaurant news, family, and friends.
Pictures are always nice, but some blogs lean too heavily on pictures. I don't like the cooking blogs that post a picture for each step of the recipe I could understand the need if the recipe had really complicated techniques, but most of the blogs I am ready are very home cook friendly. When I have to scroll through 27 pictures to see the results...it takes something enjoyable away from me. Which is sad because the recipes usually sound very tasty, which is why I ended up on their blog.
I also like people who share the blogs they read. It is a nice to go to a blog you like have when you are looking for some new reads.

For me... I like photos, but like one of your comments above says, not the step by step photos. To me that's just too much unless it's a post with a complicated technique or something really unusual.
Also a friendly blog with precise recipes... unique recipes are always a bonus too.

cab: thanks for stopping by! I'm always curious what motivates others! I am not a big fan of lots of fancy stuff on websites. Most of the time I will just move on if they get to fancy.
