Chocolate Chip Cookies with Walnuts
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking
soda and salt.
In a large bowl with an electric mixer, cream the
butter and sugars. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until
just combined.
Add the flour mixture, walnuts and chocolate
chips, then beat on low speed until just blended.
Drop the dough by rounded tablespoon 2 inches apart on
an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes,
or until golden brown. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
