Scottish Shortbread

Scottish Shortbread

INGREDIENTS

2 cups butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
2. Cream butter and brown sugar. Add 3 to 3 3/4 cups flour. Mix well.
3. Spread on well greased cookie sheet. Prick all over with fork.
4. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes.
5. Cut into small strips.
