Last week went pretty well! I didnt get to make the cookies I've been wanting to make but otherwise we followed the plan pretty darn well. *proud*
Tomorrow, depending on how my knees are doing, I am going to attempt the basic bread in my new bread book. Ron has asked me to make some buttermilk biscuits and sausage patties so that he can have those for breakie instead of hitting MickieD's everyday on the way to work. I make great drop biscuits but not so great on roll outs. heh. I'm excited to give it a shot.

Just remember when rolling out biscuits...
You need to knead the dough some...but the more you work your dough, the more gluten develops which will result in heavy biscuits. So just knead it enough to give it a good texture, then roll out and cut. And any scraps you have that you roll out again will be heavier than the first ones because you will be working the dough again.
