Favorite Cookbooks

Ok I have a plea to whomever might stumble across my wee blog.

What is your alltime favorite cookbook? You know, the cookbook that you would pick if you could only have one cookbook. Yes! That one! What's the name of it? ;)

I would have to say the old standby, Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook.

Most of what my mother cooked was based on recipes from that book and tweaked to how the family liked it.

All the recipes in that book have been tested and withstood years of use.

If I could have only one cookbook, that would be it.

Oh definitely agreed. My mom and grandmother both used the BH&G New Cookbook (though I suppose it really isnt new since it's been around for eons and eons)

Anya, it's good to meet you. I would have to say my all time favorite cookbook is " A guide to Good Cooking ". It was put out by Five Rose Flour. It's on it's 25th edition.

It's also ripped, stained, the cover is half off, but I always go back to this cookbook. I have so many good cookbook and they come and go all the time. I don't think I could ever give this one up.
